It’s unthinkable that, in today’s world, children are being sent to work instead of going to school or sitting with their families. Arguably, many are thrown to the rigors of working life in factories and mines or, worst, introduced into armed conflict, trafficking of drugs, or illicit activities.
Millions of children around the world are deprived of basic childhood rights, like education, play, and rest. The World Day Against Child Labor is instituted to create awareness on these issues so that child exploitation and abuse can be ended once and for all. We say firmly, “No to child labor.”
